In 2004 we were adopted by two barn cats. Named Jasper and Pete, they have been with us for the last 8 years. As anyone who has owned cats knows, these two don’t know that they’re cats either. They believe we are here to serve them, and in return we are witness to the entertainment that only they could provide. They are both very demanding. Pete’s biggest demand is that his food bowl is filled no later than 6:00am and Jasper requires his wet food is served no later than 9:00pm, but he will start reminding us at 8:30. Pete is afraid of just about everything, especially the door bell. Jasper is afraid of very little. They have been fun pets to have, and I have many more pictures but you have to stop somewhere right?
Pete began using the coffee table as his safety spot. Today he still uses it as a sanctuary of sorts. We call it “putting himself in jail.”
He used to fit in this bowl. Now his head barely fits in it.
This used to be Jasper’s spot to observe us. He still likes to make sure he has our attention.
Loved to go outside our old house. He thought he was a tree climber. He was right, however, he was not a tree descender.
Has a little bit of what doctors call a weight problem.
They thought they wanted to help put down the laminate floors, turns out they were wrong and hid under the bed the whole time.
Pete in his I can haz cheezeburger pose.
This is his feed me now face.
There used to be a Chihuahua that lived next door.
Preparing to beg.
Being chubby.
Still chubby and not happy about his first move from Missouri to Tennessee.
They used to love sleeping on this chair and ottoman.
