It’s been a pretty good couple of years for bucket list golf trips. In May of 2022 we managed to make it to Mesquite, NV and play Wolf Creek. Then in the fall we made it out to Oregon to play Bandon Dunes. So when we looked around and thought about where to go for the annual trip in May, we naturally settled on Wisconsin. Since I moved to San Antonio this year, I was ready to go somewhere a little cooler. We started off the trip with thirty-six holes at The Golf Courses at Lawsonia. The next day we drove over to Kohler, WI and started off playing The Baths, the newest par 3 course at Destination Kohler, the finished the day playing the River Course at Blackwolf Run. On our third day we took on the Straits Course and the Irish Course at Whistling Straits. I have to say that the Straits Course definitely lived up to the hype and may have moved up into my top ten list. On the fourth day we finished off the available courses at Kohler by playing thirty-six hole on the Meadow Valleys Course a Blackwolf Run. The final day we crossed off one more bucket list course and played Erin Hills. These were all incredible courses and I would love to go back again some day.
