The members of the 7 Iron Whiff Golf Trip have started to spread out more around the country. Dr. Tom has relocated to Orlando, FL. So this year, he and his wife hosted our trip as it returned to its normal Memorial Day time frame. This year we worked in a 10ish rounds over six days in Orlando, with a brief overnight stay at the Streamsong Resort. We would have got in the full ten if it weren’t for some weather that halted things one day. Overall, we had some really fun courses and excellent accommodations. This year’s courses were The New Course at Grand Cypress Resort, Eagle Creek Golf Club, Streamsong Resort Blue, Red and Black courses, Orange County National Golf – Panther Lake and Crooked Cat, and Shingle Creek Golf Club. I wanted to give a special shout out to the folks at the Grand Cypress Resort. They are in the middle of a massive renovation on their property, which I am sure causes extra challenges in keeping their course open. However, the course was in great shape and incredibly fun to play and the staff was top notch and very friendly and helpful.
